How to arrange white bathroom?
White interiors are back in style. After years of exile, it is once again popular among designers. White is usually associated with purity and serenity, and can serve as a fantastic backdrop for additions and details in different colours. Introduce it into your room properly, and it never gets boring.
White bathroom
How to design a bathroom based on the colour white? White walls, ceiling and floor are of course a given. Now add white bathroom ceramics into the mix: white bathtubs, toilet bowls, bidets and wash basins dominate the market. If you also choose white additions, what you get is a total white look. How can you prevent white from becoming overbearing? Here is a few tips on how to design a perfect white bathroom.
When it comes to monochrome interiors, it is good to use diverse materials and finishes – the whiteness of bleached wood looks different from that of a frette towel or smooth bathroom ceramics. Our perception of matte and glossy white tiles also differs.
A good way of introducing more variety to a white space is to combine plain white tiles with tiles which are more structurally diverse. Such combinations are available in the Winter Vine White and Moon Line collections. Their texture is made up of delicate grape stems and leaves, and slightly more geometrical plants, respectively. The Structure Pattern collection, in addition to white flower motifs, also offers tiles with a finely wavy texture. Structured floral patterns add subtle variety to white monochrome interiors, lending them a romantic character. If you like geometrical patterns more than patterns inspired by nature, you can always choose tiles with a structure resembling origami. These kinds of tiles are available in the White Magic collection, among others. Regardless of the pattern you choose, decorative structured tiles laid on walls add more variety to the space, preventing it from becoming a shapeless white blob.
But what about the minimalist style? Is it possible to design a minimalist bathroom with a mosaic? It is – the previously mentioned Carrara Pulpis collection, with its veiny grey marble patterns, can serve as a great example here. The Carrara Mosaic White mosaic is delicate enough to avoid disrupting the ascetic design, quite the opposite, actually – it can serve as a beautiful complement.
More colour
Another way to diversify the whiteness of your bathroom is to add a light shade of another colour. Take the Glamour collection as an example – the purity of white is emphasised by tiles decorated with a grey-violet floral pattern.
Another collection which adds more life to your white bathroom is French Braid. Its inserto tile decorated with a patchwork woollen stitching pattern and the structured tile with a regular rhombus pattern help you design a unique interior.
From classic to vintage
White bathrooms can adhere to almost any style. If classic interiors are your thing, add stylised ceramics and fittings to your bathroom – a freestanding bath is a great choice here. Such an arrangement is sure to look great with Moon Line tiles in the background.
On the other hand, if you like romantic interiors, choose Structure Pattern or Winter Vine White tiles. These tiles serve as a great backdrop for simple bathroom equipment. You can create an atmospheric interior by introducing chic additions – candles, a stylised carafe or dried flowers.
The first thing that comes to mind when thinking about the colour white is minimalism. Simple furniture and ceramics are sure to look great with Magnifique Stripes tiles in the background. Less is more in minimalist interiors, which means cutting down on the amount of decorations and cosmetics and storing other accessories in cabinets. Glass elements and steel, aluminium and silver-coloured elements add more shine to the interior.
White also goes great with the timeless contemporary style. Glamour or White Magic tiles can serve as a nice background for universal arrangements. Slightly rounded ceramics, modern fittings and furniture with plain or light veneered fronts are also a great choice. Attention to detail pays off here as well. The entire arrangement can be complemented by a plant or a woven laundry basket.
White tile collections such as French Braid are a great match for the vintage style. Add furniture and fittings referencing times past and at least one antique or vintage decorative element, such as a mirror frame or lamp, and what you get is a unique interior which combines tradition and modernity.
White gives you endless options when it comes to design. It also makes the space appear larger and invites light and tranquillity to the interior. White makes the bathroom look fresh and timeless, regardless of the form in which you decide to add it.
